Information & some guidance for during your juicing

In which order?
All juices are numbered if there’s no number on the back there should be a handwritten one on the top.
Please drink the bottles in that sequence, start your day upon awakening with bottle #01. Your next bottle should be consumed 2,5 to 3 hours later and will prevent you feeling hungry. You are NOT NOT eating, remember we use more than 4 kg of vegetables to make these 7 bottles, that’s a lot of minerals and vitamins.
We strongly suggest to also drink a lot of healthy water (fresh spring or filtered), essential to function properly, at least 2 litres per day will help to flush the system.
We advise you not to drink water 30 minutes before your juice and try to wait 1 hour after drinking your juice as water dilutes digestive enzymes which would prevent your system from assimilating nutrients.
As we do not use any stabilisers, do not pasteurise, simply do not add anything but fresh organic vegetables, fruits and herbs (unless you so desire…) the juice could separate, this is quite according to nature and very normal, simply shake well before use.
Try to swish/chew the juice in your mouth before swallowing, this helps the digestive actions as IT releases saliva which contains the digestive enzymes, these are important as they deliver the nutrients to your cells.
Possible experiences during the Juice program
As your body is adjusting the new diet during the first few days of your juice feast you might encounter feelings some detox side effects such as headaches, nausea, skin eruptions, constipation, dizziness or fatigue. Just hang in there, the rewards after will be multifold.
No, you will NOT be hungry but…
You might feel like you are hungry. How to tell the difference between a craving and real hunger? Hunger is the body’s way of informing us that it needs fuel to survive. Hunger is a normal and necessary feeling which is very important and we should react to it as we need the energy to live. It is a feeling of an empty stomach signalled by contractions of the stomach muscles.
True hunger is a signal that your body needs food (Minerals and vitamins) for energy!
Cravings are normal feelings that you require a certain kind of food or drink. Cravings can be the result of emotions, hormones, physical needs or simply thoughts of. Associations also cause cravings, going to the beach might, for instance, remind you of having an ice cream. Resisting cravings should be easy.During a Juice Feast, the feeling of hunger is an (incorrect!) interpretation of a mental reaction to a change in your diet but in reality, it is a just a craving. (Isn’t it strange you already feel kind of hungry the moment you wake up on the first day, even before you started juicing, even before you do anything different than during your normal diet?)
This might prove the point that feeling hungry at this stage is more of a psychological thing than anything else. Just be strong, beat this feeling simply by rationalising, by understanding you are NOT NOT eating!
No big time gaps between food intakes
A juicing day is not one with big gaps that you are not eating, you ARE actually consuming a lot of food, drinking a bottle of juice every 2 to 3 hours over the day, enough normally for the time you are awake.
Each bottle of 330ml of juice is made by slow juicing 600 to 700 grammes of vegetables, fruits and herbs! You wouldn’t normally be able to eat this much with a knife and fork.
Your body DOES gets plenty of food and even better and more important…. loads of minerals and vitamins.
And….. the feeling of hunger disappears after the first few days…
One Juice is better than none, one day of juicing is a great initiative, to have some real impact though Pura suggests you juice for as long as possible but a minimum of 7 preferably 10 days would be the best choice. The feeling good kicks in normally somewhere between day 4 and 7. After the Juice Feast finishes the health improvements will continue and you will feel so good you probably want to continue in some sort of way, we have customers who continue juicing a few days each week and some who replace breakfast and/or lunch and/or dinner with juices.
With today’s fast-paced lifestyles it is a great and easy way to get the necessary minerals and vitamins which vegetables and fruits offer.
Take your time to consume your juices…..
Relax and enjoy your juices, don’t throw them back but zip and try to chew, enjoy the juice! Juicing is not about eating quickly, just enjoy your food as you would when eating solid foods, take your time.
Feeling better you will…
Remember your body can heal itself on the outside when you have a wound, it takes only a few days and away it goes… you really don’t have to do anything special for this to happen. Inside our systems, it is not different.
You are the result of what you eat… Red blood cells live for about four months, while white blood cells live on average more than a year. Skin cells live about two or three weeks. Colon cells have it rough: They die off after about four days, our liver renews every 300 to 500 days.
Brain cells typically last an entire lifetime (neurones in the cerebral cortex, for example, are not replaced when they die). It makes sense to believe that eating a healthy diet with mainly organic produce helps this process considerably.
Remember, though….only organic works…
You can not detoxify using toxins! You can not do something healthy with unhealthy products….
Becoming conscious about how healthy food makes you feel better…
Many mentioned that not only doing the juice makes them feel good, what also happened is that they became more conscious of how important eating healthy is and as a result makes them kick the habit of coffee or tea and becoming more healthy in their choice of food going forward.
