Our juices are raw and coldpressed as valuable and sensitive micronutrients become damaged when you heat foods.

Heating ( cooking ) and processing food reduces micronutrient content by changing shape and chemicals. Juicing avoids processed foods and you eat only organic vegetables and fruits.

6-8 servings of vegetables and fruits per day is the advised minimum quantity we’re told by the authorities, unfortunately very few of us actually get that. Juicing is an easy way to virtually guarantee that you will reach your daily target for vegetables. Pura’s Juice programs consist of 7 bottles of 330ml juice per day (replacing all other food) and we use more than 4 kg of vegetables to made these, considerably more than the 6 – 8 servings advised.

Mainly vegetables as while you can juice fruits, if overweight, high blood pressure, diabetes, or high cholesterol affects you, it is better to limit using fruits until these conditions are improved.

Lemons and limes though have virtually none of the offending sugar, fructose, that causes most of the metabolic complications. Lemons or limes are amazing at eliminating the bitter taste of the dark, deep green leafy vegetables that provide most of the benefits of juicing.

Three main arguments why you want to consider vegetable juicing into your health programs:

1 Juicing helps you absorb all the nutrients from the vegetables. Most of us have no optimal digestion as a result of making bad food choices over many years. This limits your body’s ability to absorb all the nutrients from the vegetables. Juicing will help to “pre-digest” them for you, so you will receive most of the nutrition.

2 Juicing allows you to consume a considerable amount of vegetables in an easy way. A carb type should eat half a kilo of raw vegetables per 25 kg of body weight per day. Some find that much vegetables difficult, juicing helps to accomplish this with a juiced glass of vegetable juice.

3 More variety of vegetables in your diet. Many people eat the same vegetable salads every day. This is against the principle of food rotation and increases the risk of an allergy to a specific food. With juicing, you can juice a wide variety of vegetables that you may not normally enjoy eating whole vegetables.

You can NOT detox with toxins, you can not become healthy using unhealthy products. You simply have to use organic (or at least chemical free) produce only.
